On this above quilt I've shown the possibility of using plain red
and blue fabric blocks and quilting them with the same design as the pieced
blocks.

Using varied background fabrics can form color areas.

Changing only the edge colors gives a 2-color effect to the
4-point secondary star which is formed.

Another experiment above leaves the central flying saucer all the
same colorway, but changes the 4-point star.

A bright contrasting sashing livens up the blocks a lot and "hides"
the 4-point star, making the flying saucer image the main focus.
