This block could range in size from 8 inches to 12 inches. 16 HST units are used for each block. (thus, making your half sq. triangles each 2.5 inches raw edge to raw edge would result in a finished Red & White Cross block that is 8" sewn. A 3.5" HST would yield a 12" sewn finished block.
