Here are some sample quilt top layouts using the Contrary Wife Block as described on this first page of this article.
1. Contrary Wife can make a wonderful scrap quilt.
2. The diagonal layout above looks great, but so does the one below - Same Blocks, but every other block is turned 180 degrees for a totally different look!
The above quilt plays on the diagonal look.
I also came up with this simple layout of only 6 Contrary Wife blocks to make a Ribbon block (here is one in pink you might want to use for a Breast Cancer quilt).
